Our Eco Councillors at Carterhatch Junior School have led a fantastic whole-school effort to recycle batteries. They designed posters, ran class talks, and set up collection points in classrooms to make it easy for everyone to get involved. Their teamwork and enthusiasm inspired pupils across the school to become battery-recycling champions. Thanks to their leadership, we collected nearly 800 batteries, preventing them from ending up in landfill. The group also engaged the wider community through social media posts, encouraging families and local supporters to join the challenge. Their commitment has created real excitement and positive change across the Carterhatch Junior School community.
